Marco's Pizza has announced a three-unit area development agreement in New Mexico, spearheaded by entrepreneur Yiris Hallal and his family-run venture, Hall Foods, LLC. This expansion reflects Marco's ongoing strategy to increase its footprint in underserved markets, with the first new location scheduled to open in July at 3835 East Lohman Ave. in Las Cruces.
Gerardo Flores, Chief Development Officer of Marco’s Pizza, emphasized the importance of growing brand awareness and establishing a strong local presence in key markets. Yiris Hallal, alongside his brother David Hallal and daughter Daniela Hallal, aims to leverage their entrepreneurial background in technology and franchising to successfully operate these new units. Yiris Hallal noted that the franchise offers a "strong operational playbook," providing advantages in efficiency and scalability, while allowing the family to maintain control over business growth.
Daniela Hallal, who recently completed her undergraduate studies in finance and a master's in management, will be managing the first restaurant. Her prior experience managing teams at Amazon enhances her capacity for operational execution and development. The Hallal family plans to expand further within Las Cruces and potentially in Albuquerque as part of their agreement.
Their proximity to Las Cruces, residing in El Paso, Texas, allows for hands-on involvement in managing the locations. They recognize the market potential in New Mexico, aligning with Marco's broader development strategy to penetrate new territories effectively. This development is indicative of Marco's Pizza's ambitions for growth in the Southwest, focusing on building a substantial presence in traditionally underserved areas.
By combining family leadership with a robust operational framework and franchisee support, Marco's Pizza is positioning itself for long-term success in this region. The Hallals' commitment and experience suggest a strong foundation for the brand's future endeavors in New Mexico, further contributing to its national expansion strategy.
